Fresha Alternatives in Qatar: A Fair Comparison

Fresha alternatives in Qatar compared fairly: pricing, Arabic, WhatsApp and Qatar availability, from each vendor's own pages, checked 29 Sep 2026.

If you run a salon, spa or barbershop in Qatar and you are searching for Fresha alternatives, you are probably asking one of three things: is there something cheaper, is there something in Arabic, or does anything work better with WhatsApp? This page compares Fresha and three other booking tools on exactly those points, using only what each company says on its own website.

Fresha is a real, established product, and this is not a "Fresha is bad" article. For many salons it is a good fit. The goal is to help you choose with facts, not to push you away from it.

How we did this comparison

We opened each vendor's own pricing and home pages on 29 September 2026 and noted what they say. Where a page does not say something, the table says "not stated on the pages we read". We did not guess, and we did not use reviews or third-party lists. Prices change often, so treat every number here as a snapshot and check the vendor page before you decide.

One caution: several of these pricing pages are written for other countries, and prices are shown in US dollars on the pages we opened. Zoho also lists AED and SAR prices but none in QAR, and none of the four vendors stated a Qatar-specific price on the pages we read. Ask each vendor what you would pay in Qatar.

Reading the table honestly

Fresha is the only one of the four whose own pages mention Qatar, and it has an Arabic version of its pricing page. It is a full booking, payments and marketplace platform. The cost structure has three parts worth understanding: the subscription, the payment fees, and the new-client commission if you take clients from the marketplace. The pricing page says no fee ever applies to returning clients, even through the marketplace; the commission is only on brand new clients who find you through it. As a rough example, a four-person team would pay 4 x $14.95 = $59.80 a month before any payment fees or messages. That is our arithmetic, not a quote from Fresha.

Booksy publishes a clear per-staff price and a clear rule for when commission applies. On its pricing page it does not state Arabic, WhatsApp or country availability, so you would need to ask them before relying on it in Qatar.

Vagaro publishes simple pricing, but its own pages point to four other countries, and Qatar, Arabic and WhatsApp are not stated on the pages we read. If you are in Qatar, ask first.

Zoho Bookings is the lowest-cost option in the table and the only other one that mentions WhatsApp. It is a general appointment tool rather than a salon-specific one, so check whether it handles things like staff commission and product sales the way you need. Zoho's help centre lists Arabic among 15 booking-page languages, but Qatar availability is not stated on the pages we read.

Where Wasla fits, and where it does not

Wasla is different from the four tools above, so it is not a like-for-like swap. Wasla is not another booking app and does not try to replace one. It connects the tools a salon already uses (WhatsApp, a booking tool such as Fresha, a POS, Google Sheets and so on) so that repeated admin, like copying a WhatsApp booking into the calendar, sending reminders or building the daily summary, happens automatically.

What Wasla says about itself on its own pages (see how it works and Wasla for salons):

  • Based in Doha, built for salons, spas, barbershops and beauty studios in Qatar.
  • Messages and workflows can be set up in Arabic, English or both.
  • It works with the tools you already have, including Fresha, so you do not have to switch.
  • There is no fixed price list. Wasla quotes after seeing your workflow, and you get a clear price and timeline before any work starts.

So the real question is often not "which booking tool should replace Fresha?" but "is our problem the booking tool, or is it the manual work around it?" If your team is retyping WhatsApp bookings, chasing reminders by hand or building reports at night, a different booking app may not fix that. If the tool itself is the problem, for example the cost or the language, then one of the alternatives above may be the right move.

Wasla is not affiliated with or endorsed by Fresha, Booksy, Vagaro or Zoho.

A short checklist before you switch anything

  1. Ask for the Qatar price. Get the monthly fee, payment fees and any commission in writing, in the currency you will be charged.
  2. Test Arabic yourself. Ask for a demo of the client-facing booking page and the reminders in Arabic, not just the marketing page.
  3. Check WhatsApp closely. Find out whether messages are sent from your own number, what each message costs, and whether customers can book by replying.
  4. Work out your real costs. Add subscription, payment fees, message fees and any new-client commission together for a typical month.
  5. Check how you leave. Ask how to export your client list and history if you change tools later.
  6. List the manual steps. Write down what your team retypes or chases each day. That list tells you whether you need a new tool or a connection between the ones you have.

Frequently asked questions

Is Fresha available in Qatar? Fresha's home page lists Qatar and Doha in its browse-by-city list, so it lists Qatar on its own site. It does not state on the pages we read whether every feature, including payment processing, is available there. Ask Fresha directly.

Does Fresha support Arabic? Fresha's pricing page has an Arabic version. Whether the business software (calendar, client messages, reports) is fully available in Arabic is not stated on the pages we read, so confirm it in a demo.

Which Fresha alternative is cheapest? On the listed prices, Zoho Bookings is the lowest, and it has a free plan for one user. It is a general appointment tool, not one built only for salons, and its Qatar availability is not stated on the pages we read. The cheapest listed price is not always the cheapest in practice once payment and message fees are added.

Can I use WhatsApp with my booking software in Qatar? Fresha lists automated WhatsApp notifications with per-message fees, and Zoho Bookings lists WhatsApp too. Booksy and Vagaro do not state WhatsApp on the pages we read. If you want WhatsApp to answer enquiries and create bookings, not only send notifications, that is a separate job from the booking tool.

Do I have to leave Fresha to use Wasla? No. Wasla is built to work with the tools you already use, Fresha included, and it tells you honestly what can and cannot be connected before it starts.
